About the Role
he Fundraising & Development Coordinator is responsible for driving FWD’s sustainability by identifying funding opportunities, securing donations, and building partnerships that support the chapter’s initiatives. This isn’t a passive role — we’re looking for someone who understands that good intentions don’t fund programs.
If you have real experience in fundraising, development, or grant strategies — and you're not afraid to make the ask — this is your chance to apply those skills to a mission that matters. We don’t need theoretical ideas; we need action that results in resources.
Requirements & Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy: Develop and execute a fundraising plan tailored to FWD’s needs — including individual giving campaigns, sponsorships, crowdfunding, and donor engagement.
Identify Opportunities: Research and pursue potential donors, corporate sponsors, grants (where applicable), and partnership opportunities that align with FWD’s mission and activities.
Build Donor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with donors and partners, working closely with the Outreach team and the Board. Ensure proper recognition and communication to encourage long-term support.
Campaign Management: Lead fundraising initiatives throughout the year — from concept to execution — whether it’s a Giving Tuesday campaign, event sponsorship drive, or special fundraising event.
Collaborate with the Board: Work closely with leadership to align fundraising goals with program needs. Communicate clearly about targets, progress, and challenges.
Track & Report: Maintain records of fundraising activities, donor databases, and provide regular updates to the Board on financial progress and projections.
Promotional Coordination: Partner with the Communications team to develop compelling fundraising messages, campaign materials, and outreach strategies.
Time Commitment
Flexible, Project-Based:On average, 0-3 hours per week, depending on the event cycle. Some weeks may require no involvement; during active event periods, expect to commit more hours to meet deadlines and ensure successful delivery.
Attendance at key Board meetings or check-ins leading up to events is expected.
This is not a full-time or part-time role technically — it's a leadership responsibility that requires reliability when it counts.
